Reyes! Lord of the Underworld Keeper of Pain! What can I say about him but WOW!


I went with this picture because they always seem to end up chained up somewhere! =D

Reyes is a great character, tormented to self harm by his demon, but in his words self harm is better than harming others. Reyes is complicated, nothing is ever simple with him and even though he knows what he wants (and has done since book 1- his HEA Dannika) this is their story and it is a great read. I habe truly found another obsession with this series... please tell me I am not alone!

It is Monday again, and I continue my journey through my new obsessions, the Lords of the Underworld. This week is Lucien. I loved this book, I loved the interplay between Lucien and his HEA Anya, she is so irreverent and his reaction to her is great, from shock to disaproval to frustration and to love. Great read. And Lucien is an unusual hero, scarred and disfigured but something about him warms your heart.

I would describe Lucien, but I think Anya does it better than anyone else, this is from the beginning of the novel.

It was just that contradictions tantalized her, and Lucien had so very many. He was scarred but not broken, kind but unbending. He was a calm, by-the-book immortal, not blood-hungry as Cronus had claimed.

I only recently started to read The Lords of the Undeworld books by Gena Showalter but I am seriously into them, but I am starting with Maddox! What is not to like, mean, moody, sexy with a violent core, but as we saw in the novel violence can be tamed and tempered into something totally NOMMABLE! (yes it is a word in Minxy land)

Over the next few weeks I may work my way through the other two books I read.... heheheee

I read the second one 'The Heiress' first and it was so funny! I hadn't read a historical in a while, but Sand's sense of humour comes through in these books and some of the situations the sisters get themselves in make me howl with laughter.
